Can't add ActiveReport (19) to website project in VS2022

As the title says, I’ve installed (and activated) AR19 on my computer, opened VS2022, file → open → web site and opened a site that happens to be on the local machine (but tried on a remote server too with same result).

When I right-click the site in the solution explorer, choose “add → add new item”, no ActiveReports options appear. Am I doing something wrong? I’ve been a bit out of touch with AR in recent years but with AR13 and VS2017 this worked fine.

    Hi,

Please make sure the ActiveReports 19 extension is installed properly. You can download it from the following link: ActiveReports 19 VS2022

If the issue persists then please make sure the project you are using is mentioned in the Supported Environments: Product requirements

    I hope this helps!

I think I meet all the requirements? Machine is Windows 11, .NET framework 4.8.1 is installed along with the associated .NET framework and Windows SDKs, and I’m using Visual Studio 2022.

When I run the installer for the extension, it says “This extension is already installed to all applicable products.”

    Hi Eric,

Based on your previous case it seems that you are using Web Site application(Legacy). I was able to reproduce this issue with the Legacy Project template. I have reported this issue to the development team[AR-35476].

I will get back to you once I have any updates on the same.
