We currently use AR6 in a client application and want to move to AR12.

I see there is a converter that imports RPX reports and converts them to RDX. Great if they are in a file. My problem is that our software allows the user to create custom reports within our software using the Report Designer and they are stored as RPX-code in their database. The RPX is loaded into the report viewer at run time and the report is processed.

Is there some way to programatically convert the reports and/or still use the RPX format? I have not worked with the AR7+ Report Designer yet and we are currently using AR6 in our software. I assume the AR7+ designer generates RDX code?

    Thanks for assistance.

Correction: Not RDX but RDL. My typos.

    Hello,

    Thanks for considering AR12.

You do not need to convert RPX to Rdl. AR12 supports the “RPX” format. You only need to change the name of some namespaces or classes. Please refer the following link:

Feel free to revert back if there is issue occurred after upgrading.

    Thanks,

    Mohit
