    Hello

We’ve encountered a problem with Active Reports when exporting SectionDocument to PDF using GrapeCity.ActiveReports.Export.Pdf.Section.PdfExport.Export function. After exporting one of the images appears to be cut in the middle, and rest of the image is not rendered (screenshot in attachment). We weren’t able to reproduce it, it only happened once so we cannot provide code example. The image on the template is a simple AR.Image control.

Is this a known issue and what could have caused it? Is there maybe some kind of silent try-catch instruction in ActiveReports code that is fired during image rendering that could have caused it (maybe Out of memory exception fired during report rendering and that’s why image was cut in half)? Is this issue fixed in any higher than 9.2 versions of AR?

Thank you in advance for Your help.

    Hello,

We have the same issue with version 11.2.10750.0

It can be reproducible more often when it is WebService placed on IIS.

    And run in parallel.

(100 threads produce 2-5 broken records).

Code(for Web Application) and examples attached.

    Hello,

Could you please check with the latest build of AR:

    http://cdn.grapecity.com/ActiveReports/AR14/Hotfixes/ActiveReports-v14.1.20413.msi

Also, Please note that AR11 is a legacy product now. It is out of maintenance mode now. Hence, we do not provide support for the same or no bug fixing will be done in the same. I would recommend you use the latest version of ActiveReports i.e ActiveReports 14. Please refer to the following link for more information:

    Thanks,

    Mohit

    Hello,

I’ve tried with AR14 and looks like it is not reproducible. More likely it is similar to: https://www.grapecity.com/forums/ar-dev/ar-113-loadlayout-exceptio as from time to time I had the same exception. Do you have some suggestion why is is reproducible for IIS so often? Maybe some workarround exists? Thank you in advance!

    Hello,

This is known issue in old build of AR which is fixed in the latest build of AR i.e AR12.2 or higher version.

Are you able to reproduce the same issue in AR14? if yes, could you please share the stripped down sample with us so that I can assist your accordingly.

    Thanks,

    Mohit

No, I was not able to reproduce this issue with AR14 so I’ve asked for some setups or suggestion to decrease count of broken reports(without upgrading to AR14).

    Hello,

Sorry to mention that there is no solution for AR11. You need to upgrade to AR14 to get the fix of this issue.

    Thanks,

    Mohit
