  Hi

  It appears that Active Reports requires a URL to connect to server… Generally I connect Visual studio to SQL Server in the same Windows Environment by specifying the Server name eg

  MFWIN10-PARA-VM

  I have tried the ip address of the machine but no luck.

  Hello,

  The window you have shown in your screenshot is for connecting to ActiveReport Server and not SQL server.
  
  In order to connect to SQL server you can set the DataSource for report and provide the SQL server path there in ConnectionString window.
