  Hello,

  I’ve been checking out the trial version of v13, and planning to move to v13 Pro soon from Standard. I’m familiar with RTF export and was wondering if you have a code sample that I could try to export to Word DOCX (Open XML) format from a Section Report. I’d like to start the development so that when we have the license, we could simply apply it be ready to go in the application. I’ve been unable to find samples/code/documentation online to help with this.

  Hello,

  Exporting to word (.doc, .docx) is not directly possible using SectionReport. Refer this documentation link:

  However, you can indirectly do so, using the “CustomWordExport” sample at the default location: Documents\GrapeCity Samples\ActiveReports 13\Advanced\Section.

  Thanks for your quick assistance, Esha. I’m a little confused as I thought the SectionReport export capability is enabled in Active Reports 13 Professional. ’

  I realize what is posted in the link you mentioned, but I also saw that AR13 Pro enables DocX export while AR13 Standard does not. My understanding was that this would apply to both SectionReport and PageReport:

  Hello Dan,

  Thanks for the link. I understand that it mentions about AR Professional supporting docx export but that is directly possible for PageReports. For SectionReports, it is still not directly possible.

  Hello, now that v 14.2.20523 is out, do you have any support in WPF / .NET Framework for export of a Section Report to Word Doc (DOCX)? I know we requested this awhile back, but I’m not sure if it made the cut.

  Sorry, currently there is no plan to support to Docx support in the SectionReport. I will update you if there is any plan to support Docx support in the SectionReport.
