    [activereports_archive]Hi

    I am trying to create a report in MVC project using activereports8. In my webform i added a webviewer and when i run the project i do not see a properly rendered reportviewer. Please check the screenshot.

    But if i do the same in a normal asp.net web application i can see the report viewer.

    Can you please let me know what are the other configurations required to run the reportviwer in a MVC project.

    Thanks in advance!

    [html] <activereportsweb:webviewer ID="WebViewer1" runat="server" Height="480px"

    Width="1000px" ReportName="Section">

        </activereportsweb:webviewer>[/html]

    [csharp]WebViewer1.Report = Session["Report"];

    WebViewer1.ViewerType = (GrapeCity.ActiveReports.Web.ViewerType)Session["ViewerType"];[/csharp][/activereports_archive]

    [activereports_archive]Hello,

    I was able to replicate the behavior at my end with AR8 SP3. Please refer to the attached screenshot depicting the behavior at my end.

    However, I would like to inform you that AR8 is no more in active development mode and hence, no bug fixes or enhancements are being catered in the same.

    You are suggested to upgrade to AR10 for better performance, more features and bug fixes. Attached is the screenshot which depicts the behavior at my end with AR10. The Viewer is rendered correctly.

    Regards,

    Reema

    (Please note : The screenshot depicting the behavior at your end was not attached to the post. You may attach the same to confirm the behavior at your end)[/activereports_archive]

    [activereports_archive]Hi Reema

    Thanks for your reply.

    The version we are currently using is ActiveReports 8 Professional Edition.

    But we say a couple of links online, which shows that there is a special asp.net mvc component.

    http://our.componentone.com/2015/03/20/componentone-asp-net-mvc-edition-released/

    http://our.componentone.com/2014/08/28/asp-net-mvc-reporting-with-componentone-report/

    So my question, if we upgrade to ActiveReports10, are you sure that the reportsviewer will work in MVC.

    As i dont want to face any issues with reportsviewer after upgrading to activereports10.[/activereports_archive]

    [activereports_archive]Hello Vivin,

    Regarding your queries :

    >>>>Is it possible for you share the code?

    Please refer to the attached “ActiveReportsWithMVC.zip” sample working correctly at my end with AR10.

    >>>>But we say a couple of links online, which shows that there is a special asp.net mvc component.

    The links you have pointed to are for the Reporting and WebViewer controls within the ComponentOne Studio for ASP.NET Wijmo suite.

    >>>>So my question, if we upgrade to ActiveReports10, are you sure that the reportsviewer will work in MVC.

    Yes, ActiveReports10 works correctly with MVC.

    You can download and test the trial version from the link below :

    Let us know if you face any issues with the same.
