License for Activereports 11 is not found

  Hi, I’m working fine with my computer a lot of months, and suddenly when I want to enter to a report the system say me that I have no license for activereports 11.

  Trying to solved it I try uninstall and install activereports 11 but it say me that there are an error an I can’t uninstall it.

  after some tries I execute the intall with administrator priviligies and it work fine, but when I enter in reports in vb 2015 it said again that I have no license.

  Finally I try to execute vb 2015 with administrator priviligies and it work fine, why this change? I have working with it months and years and without problems, my operative system is win10.

  How can I execute vb without administrator priviligies to work without the problem? the user I used is administrator of the computer

  The exe’s I generate with administrator priviligies not work, it say me “An appropiate license has not been given to the program”

  I don’t know what to do

  (I execute applicationlicensegenerator.exe like administrator and select the exe in bin folder of the project, it make me a file of a license, and now it seem all work fine. I don’t know why I have to do it, I never has use this file … the application dll’s and generator exe are in C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\GrapeCity\ActiveReports 11 folder)

  Hello Miguel,

  It is strange behavior. Do you have all active report license entry in “Licenses.licx” file? Please refer to the topic “Required references in the licenses.licx file (for Standard and Professional Editions)” in the following link:

  If yes, could you confirm that is there anything done at your side ( like windows update, permission changed for current user etc)before the application show the “No license” message.

  when I run the .net with administrator priviligies licenses.licx change to

  GrapeCity.ActiveReports.SectionReport, GrapeCity.ActiveReports.v11, Version=11.1.9726.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=xxxxxxxxxx

  I uninstall all of last five days updates (office 365, adobe reader) and not work

  I put xxxxxx because I don’t know if it is a delicated key

  I have sp1 because all works fine and I don’t need to update (if something works fine, not move)

  now I have to execute the project with administrator priviligies to enter in design mode.

  I don’t change anything I know, maybe some little update of win10.

  I have this problem months ago, When it occurs, I restored the computer with acronis image and all works fine various days, and then occurs the same. finaly I uninstall whatsapp program and all work fine until yesterday, but now I have a lot of changes since last backup and I would like to solve forever … in this day I have no changes in the computer …

  Hi again, if I execute install like administrator priviligies all install ok, but if I execute without it the install stop with the error:

  there is a problem with this windows isntaller package. a dll required for this install to complete could not be run. contact your support personnel or package vendor.

  The log instalation say:

  any idea?

  update: I have a image copy of acronis of this night with the problem. I copy it to another SSD, put it in the computer with the error and it works, with the same that this night, I check all days the first if Activereports work fine or not, I don’t understand nothing.

  This is what happend the last time, I used 3 SSD to copy when the problem appear, but is increible that the same hard disk in other hard disk works fine.
