I am using Visual Studio 2013. When I open Visual Studio 2013 it wants to use Active Reports 9. I need to use Active Reports 8. Both are installed and licensed on the machine. When I go to help in Visual Studio it is only showing 9 in the list of installed products but 8 is also installed. How do I tell VS2013 to use version 8 not 9.

    Hello,

Are you able to see the ActiveReports 8 related templates when you try to create a new project in Visual Studio? If not, you should consider uninstalling and installing it again from the below mentioned link to the latest AR8 SP3 installer:

    https://cdn.grapecity.com/ActiveReports/ar8/ActiveReports-v8.3.634.0.msi

Note that ReportDesigner.Switcher tool allows you to change packages which are registered in Visual Studio. Please refer the following link, explaining how side-by-side installation works for AR8 and AR9:

    Regards,

    Esha
