Hello,
I am now noticing after updating to last SP of AR12 that I cannot add ActiveReports with Add New Item in VS2017.
Is there a fix or workaround for this ?
I saw that there was a fix for AR11.

I need to add that I have both VS2013Pro and VS2017Pro installed.
When I use 2013 and “From the Visual Studio Help menu, select About Microsoft Visual Studio and verify that ActiveReports 12 appears in the installed products list.” it is there for 2013 but not 2017.
Thanks

Hello,
Do you see any error while adding them?
Or ActiveReport template is not visible?
Please note: Framework of application should be equal and greater than 4.5.2 and version of visual studio 2017 should be equal and greater than 15.2
Thanks

Mr Mohitg,
No, no error, AR templates not listed as in VS2013. And as I said , AR not showing under Installed products in About VS.
Using .net 4.7.2
VS2017 15.9.15
Thanks
Brian

Brian,
Could you please try after repairing the AR.
If issue is still reproducible then please uninstall the AR and reinstall it. Also, please share the log of installation. You can refer the following link to know how to generate the log file.

Thanks.

The repair made no difference.
Do I need to deactivate AR12 licence before uninstalling ?

Hello Brian,
No, you don’t need to deactivate the AR12 license before uninstalling AR. Also, I have checked at my end after updating the VS to the latest version 15.9.5 and uninstalling and reinstalling the AR12. I am able to see the AR template in my VS 2017 Pro. Please refer to the attached image.
Also, Make sure that you have VS option is checked at the time of installation. For more information, refer to the attached image.
Thanks,
Mohit
