  Hello I have a vb 6 application which is running fine on xp. Now i installed on windows 7 the source code and when i tried to change the form which is having farpoint spread sheet control version 2.5.40. Its giving me an error. "File License.DAT not found.." and when i try to add the spreadsheet control on the form it gives the error. " License Information of this component not found. You do not have appropriate license to use the functionality in the design environment.

   

  I am about to pull my hair.. i tried registering the control so many time. the ocx file.. and done all the things i can do with zero output.

   

  can anyone here support me plz

  Hello Naaz,

  It seems you do not have Spread 2.5 licensed on this Windows 7 machine. IN order to work in design time with Spread you need to have the machine licensed.

  Hi deepak ,

  I am getting license error though i have license for farpoint spread control .Can you suggest if we need to configure somthing between vb6 an farpoint spread.

  Hello,

  Could you please provide us more information about the license error which you are getting on your machine?
  
  Also let us know which version of Spread are you using on your machine?

  Hi, I get the idea that the license of that control does not allow to create executables (.exe), and the version of that control that I am using in my project is 7.0.17
