Move licenses

It is no longer clear to me how to move my licenses to another computer.

“My Licenses” does not seem to have an option to deactivate an existing license.

Can anyone indicate how this should be done?

    Regards Piet

    Hi Piet,

The “My Licenses” page displays all the licenses registered under your account. Please note that license deactivation is specific to the machine on which it was activated.

For version 14 or later, you’ll need to use the Mescius License Manager utility, located at:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\MESCIUS\ComponentOne\C1StartMenu\Apps

    or, for older installations:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\GrapeCity\ComponentOne\C1StartMenu\Apps

You can deactivate a license by clicking the ‘Deactivate’ link next to the product name. For your reference, here is an image showing the interface:

For older versions, you can use the GrapeCity.LicenseManager utility present at the location:

    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\GrapeCity\Components

To activate the license on your new PC, install the required version of Spread.NET, and use the appropriate license manager mentioned above to activate it.

For more details, you can refer to the documentation:

    https://developer.mescius.com/spreadnet/docs/latest/online-win/overview/PowerTools_Help19/spwin-product-install/spwin-activate

    Hope this helps you!

    Thanks & regards,

    Hi Aastha,

Unfortunately, it is not available on my computer.

On my computer it looks like this (also the case for ActiveReports)

    C:\Program Files (x86)\GrapeCity\ Spread.NET 15

    What now?

    Regards Piet

    Hi Piet,

Thank you for the update. Based on the information you’ve shared, it looks like Spread.NET V15 is installed on your machine.

The path we mentioned earlier for the license manager utility is specific to environments where ComponentOne is installed alongside Spread.NET. In setups where only Spread.NET is installed, that particular folder isn’t created—hence it may not have appeared on your system.

Apologies for any confusion this may have caused. You can find the gclm.exe license manager utility at the following location instead:

    C:\ProgramData\GrapeCity\gclm

You can continue with the steps we shared earlier using this path. Let us know if you need any further assistance—we’re happy to help!

    Thanks & regards,

    Aastha
