When the setHyperlink function is used and a text value is set for the link instead of the url itself, when exported to PDF this link is not clickable in the PDF. Links seem to only be clickable if entered manually in the cell or if the url and text value are the same (see attached PDF)

I was able to reproduce this in the designer as well if the user goes to Insert → Hyperlink, the url will not be clickable in the exported pdf if the “Text to display” value is not an actual url

    Hi Adisa,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

This is a known behavior in SpreadJS and is currently a limitation of the product.

As per the development team, while hyperlinks can be displayed in the exported PDF, they are not clickable. This is due to the fact that SpreadJS uses a third-party library (PDFKit) for PDF export, which currently does not fully support clickable hyperlinks.

Please feel free to reach out if you have any further questions or concerns.

    Best Regards,

    Ankit
