  If “defer layout update” is checked, the PivotTableChanged event does not fire when updates are flushed to the pivot table via clicking the “Update” button. I need to execute custom logic whenever the pivot table changes. I am able to do so normally, but not when “defer layout update” is checked. There do not appear to be any other exposed events which pertain to pivot tables. Am I out of luck?

  Hi,

  As per my understanding, you want to monitor changes in the pivot table made when the defer layout update is enabled.

  You can achieve this by using the “addListener” method of SpreadJS. This method triggers whenever any command is run. When defer layout update is enabled and made changes in the pivot table then the “updatePivotDefer” command will run, allowing you to monitor the changes. Refer to the attached snippet, the GIF “Steps.gif,” and the sample for more details.
