Special Characters Problem with AutoComplete wijmo pure JS control

    if you try to search with “A.B” or “A+B” you can see that “query” variable have incorrect values as “A.B” or “A+B” .

    Note : i think this issue will happens with any special characters with are not valid with JS variables names.

    Hi,

    We were able to replicate the issue at our end so we have forwarded a bug report to the dev team with internal tracking id 399671. We will provide you with an update as soon as the issue is fixed.

    Meanwhile, you may use the value in the inputElement of the AutoComplete in the itemsSourceFunction as a workaround. Please refer to the updated sample below:

    The issue has been fixed in the latest nightly build of wijmo. You may verify the same using the sample below:

    PS: Nightly builds have not passed through the QA cycle as our release builds do. Therefore, they are not suitable in a production environment.
