After the last update, we cant no longer display checkboxes in the grid.
They do work, when i Click it. But it will not be displayed.
All our checkboxes are now hidden, or at least not displayed.
We are still using 4.5.2 due to the fact that we dont like the layout of the new ribbon.
What can I do?

Downloaded to 584, now it is working??
Checkboxes are there 
And how, after +10 years ComponentOne cant handle updates ok?
It is always a big mess. Cost at least one days of work.
When trying to undate licence file, all projects are unloaded, checkboxes are disabled, and suddenly it works?
What is I am doing wrong?

Hi Peter,
We apologize for the delay in response and the inconvenience caused to you.
We have recently received a similar report where the checkbox is not being shown when handling the OwnerDrawCell event and calling the e.DrawCell method. This issue is observed only in the latest 2023v1(596) release and not in the previous one. This issue has already been reported to the development team for further investigation.
Could you please confirm if you have a similar implementation in your project? The sample project is attached below. If your implementation is different, could you please update the attached project or provide another sample project showing your implementation and the issue, so we can investigate further and assist you better?
Also, in your last response, you mentioned the VS utility for licenses.licx file is not working correctly on your end. We tested the utility and it seems to be working fine on our end. Could you please share the steps, possibly a video, showing the behavior on your end?

We have had the problems, reverted to the previous version, and now it works!
The checkboxes is now ok!

When I try to add update licence file, all my projects get unloaded.
The checkboxes are disabled.
Sometime it works, I have the licence file loaded?

Hi Peter,
It might be that the GrapeCity VS tools are not updated in your system. We suggest that you once update them to the latest version using ComponentOne Control Panel and see if you still face any issues.
You can download the latest version of ComponentOne Control Panel from the link below and then follow the steps.

(1) In the C1 Control Panel, go to PRODUCTS > TOOLS tab
(2) Check the “ComponentOne Visual Studio menu” and “ComponentOne LicenseActivation” options
(3) Click on the Update button
Also, the checkbox error on your end (when using 2023v1) seems to be a similar issue to what we mentioned earlier. Therefore, we have reported the same to the development team for further investigation.

Tested it, all are checked, and the update button is disabled, should mean that I have the last verion?

Whow, this sounds like a major bug that might block me from updating. C1, do you plan to provide a hotfix release soon, or will we have to wait for your next regular hotfix release? When is this scheduled?

Hi @Peter,
Please uncheck the “Samples Explorer” option and only check the “ComponentOne Visual Studio menu” and “ComponentOne LicenseActivation” options. Then click on the Update button even if the button looks disabled. This will force the update. Following that, please try to use the utility and see if you still face any issues.
If the issue persists, please provide a small video/gif showing the behavior on your end, so we can investigate further and assist you better.

Yes, the issue with the checkboxes seems like a major bug in this release. This issue has been fixed internally on priority bases and it will be available in the upcoming 2023v1 hotfix release. We do not have an exact date for the release yet, but it should be available by the end of April.

Hi Peter,
This is strange behavior. It might be some project-specific issue. We have attached the LicxGenerator utility which you can use to generate the licenses.licx file for your projects. The steps to use the utility are given within the zip file.
This issue might be caused due to some error in your installation. Therefore, we suggest that you do a fresh install of the ComponentOne in your system. Please follow the steps below for the same.
(1) Go to the system Control Panel, Programs > Uninstall a program, and double-click the ComponentOneControlPanel.
(2) Select the Uninstall button.
(3) Download the latest version of the ComponentOne Control Panel from the link below
(https://www.grapecity.com/componentone/download)
(4) Install the required version of WinForms Edition.
Also, make sure that the Visual Studio in your system is updated to the latest version.

As we mentioned in one of our previous responses on this thread
the fix for this issue will be available in the upcoming 2023v1 hotfix release. We do not have an exact date for the release yet, but it should be available around the end of April. We will let you know as soon as the latest release is available for download.

Was this fixed in .603?
I found this in the release notes:
[FlexGrid] A checkbox was not drawn in ownerdraw mode. (Jira:C1WIN-29518)

The C1FlexGrid checkbox issue has been fixed in the latest 2023v1 (603) hotfix release. The hotfix builds are available for download from NuGet and will be available for installation from ComponentOneControlPanel in a few days.
