  From time to time I get the below error when opening up a form to edit.
  
  I simply remove the offending line and the form loads with no problems. The error will return when the form.Designer code is regenerated, which is annoying. How do I fix this?

  Hi Kingman,

  Thanks for sharing the screenshot.
  
  It seems that you are missing a reference to “C1.Win.4 dll”, that contains AutoSizeElement. Can you please check the same and add the reference if it is missing? Clean and rebuild the solution before viewing the designer again.
  
  In case the issue persists, please share a screenshot of your references.

  I always have that reference in my projects. Interestingly, it never automatically loads when I load the first C1 control on the first form of a project. I always have to manually reference it.

  Hi Kingman,

  We generally need to manually add the dll when version upgrade occurs on a machine, in order to refer to the new version of the dll.
  
  Does this happen every time you load a specific control on the form?
  
  On adding the dll manually, does the issue get resolved?

  In case there is a specific scenario in which this occurs, kindly share the same using steps or screenshots to observe the issue. This will help me assist you further.
