    Hi

    Just a general enquiry regarding 2025 v1.

I noticed certain packages such as C1.Excel changed over from 8.0.X to 9.0.x with the latest update, but other packages such as C1.Win kept 8.0.X.

Is there an underlying reason that I need to be aware of, or is this just an oversight or something else?

    Thanks

    Kind Regards

    James

    Hi James,

Some packages, like C1.Excel, are based on .NET Standard and designed for use across multiple platforms. As a result, their build and versioning follow a different scheme to maintain consistency across platforms. However, there’s no specific technical implication you need to worry about. Both the WinForms 8.0.x and the .NET Standard-based 9.0.x packages are fully supported up to .NET 10 projects.

Furthermore, all these packages are multi-targeted, meaning they automatically install the appropriate DLLs based on your project’s target framework. So, you can simply use the Update tab in the NuGet Package Manager to update them to 2025v1.

Okay, I thought I would just point it out, because the divergence of these packages only appear to have happened on the most recent update. In other words, C1.Win stayed on 8.x whereas the others moved to 9.x… whereas before that point they moved with each other.

    I’ve attached a screenshot.

    Hi James,

Yes, the divergence began with the latest 2025v1 release. Regarding the screenshots you shared - since C1.Win is a WinForms-specific library, it follows the WinForms versioning scheme. On the other hand, C1.Pdf is now a .NET Standard-based library, and therefore follows a different versioning approach aligned with our .NET Standard versions.
