Is there a way to show the dropdown button of the c1combo, only when the control has focus and hide when it goes out of focus just like the one on the flexgrid. it is a lot nicer and cleaner. i also tried to use the c1dropdowncontrol but could not get it to dropdown when using the custom control…

    thanks

    Hello,

I could not find a way to hide the Dropdown button in c1Combo, however the c1DropDownControl has a property to hide or show the drop down button i.e. ShowDropDownButton. You may handle the GotFocus and LostFocus events of c1DropDownControl to set this property to True or False so as to hide or show the dropdown button. I have attached a sample that depicts the same.

Hope it helps. Please let me know if I missed something.

    Thanks,

    Thanks so much for replying…

I know that I can do it in the dropdowncontrol but that will be a lot for average of 4-5 items in the dropdown and I have at least 50 or so of those controls at one time displayed on screen. I already see my form tool some time to load. I’m also looking into using textboxes and overlay with one combo on focus. any suggestion.

    Hello,

I apologize for the delayed response.

I have entered an enhancement request to provide a feature to show or hide the dropdown button in C1Combo. It might be implemneted in the future releases if the development team finds it to be feasible.

    Thanks,

    Hello,

I was wondering if development had approved or denied the enhancement request you mentioned above? If they had approved of it, was it completed and released yet?

    Thank you!
