  Good afternoon, I would like to know what is the difference between “c1.win.c1TrueDBGrid version 2” and c1.win.c1TrueDBGrid version 4" if it is possible a documentation to see what change, we currently work with version 2 of this component and we want to pass it to version 4

  Hi,

  The only major change in the version 2 and version 4 controls is their minimum supported .NET framework, i.e, Version 2 controls require minimum .NET Framework 2.0 and version 4 controls require minimum .NET framework 4.0. If you want to check out all the changes in Version 4.0, you can refer to the ChangeLog for version 4 at the location C:\Program Files (x86)\ComponentOne\WinForms Edition\ in your system.

  If you want to upgrade to Version 4 of the TrueDbGrid, you can easily do so by following the steps in the link below. Please note that if you are using a very old version of the TrueDbGrid, there might be some changes that you will need to handle manually. Please make sure to back up your project before migrating to avoid any loss of data while migrating.

  We recommend you upgrade to Version 4.5.2 of the C1TrueDbGrid instead, which is the latest version of the C1TrueDbGrid for the .NET framework, as version 2.0 and version 4.0 controls are already out of support, meaning that they will not receive any major feature updates, enhancements, bug fixes. You can follow the similar steps mentioned above to upgrade to version 4.5.2 controls.

  I ask you another question, if for some reason the 2 versions of TrueDBGrid must coexist in the same project, is this possible? does it affect anything? or would there be any inconvenience?

  Hi,

  Using version 2 and version 4 references of C1TrueDBGrid in the same project is not possible as it will create an ambiguity between the same namespaces in both the references of C1.Win.C1TrueDBGrid.2 and C1.Win.C1TrueDBGrid.4.

  Thank you very much for the answers, one last question.

  the Bugs fixes that appear in the log are from version 2 that were corrected in version 4 or are from both.

  All the Breaking changes, Bug fixes, improvements are included in the ChangeLog. The ChangeLogv4.0.html includes the changes for version 4.0 and you will be able to find the ChangeLogs for other versions at the same location. All the changes mentioned under a heading in the ChangeLog are done in the build mentioned in the heading. If you still face any issues, do let us know.
