As a team we are finding that the title bar for the C1RibbonForm fails when we display an open dialog. We are left with the bar being transparent when maximised or black when the application is not maximised.

This has only started happening since we applied the latest Windows 10 update - Feature update to Windows 10 (business editions), version 1809, en-gb

    To repeat:

Open an App with a C1RibbonForm

Set one of the built in visual style themes. i.e. Office 2007 Silver.

    Ensure the app is maximised

    Display an Open dialog

    Result:

Everything flickers and the toolbar displays the issue mentioned above.

I have attached a really simple test app based on the default template you ship.

The video also shows the behaviour.

Just to add we are using

ComponentOne Studio for WinForms (.NET 4.0) 4.0.20181.296

We are about to release so I would rather not upgrade, but will if we have too!

For some reason the video does not seem to be attaching - can email if that helps.

    Hi Mathwe,

    this sounds like this: https://www.grapecity.com/en/forums/winforms-edition/ribbon-issue-with-120-dpi-

Does upgrading to the latest version help?

    Hello Mathew,

C1Ribbon did had few similar bugs in older version that were specific to Win10 OS:1809. And we’re glad to inform you that these issues have been resolved in the latest released build.

So as Wolgang suggests, you should be able to see the issue fixed using the latest version ‘4.0.20183.343’: http://prerelease.componentone.com/dotnet40/c1winforms/2018-t3/C1WinForms.4_4.0.20183.343.zip

Let me know, if your issue persists even with the latest version.

    Thanks,

    Ruchir

    Thanks Wolfgang & Ruchir

I had missed that topic when i searched before, but yes it’s the same issue.

I upgraded to the latest version (4.0.20183.343) and it works just fine. My test team are unhappy about the need to retest given the deadline is looming, but the issue is at least resolved

    You’re welcome Mathew.

Sometimes, when searching over google does not fetch you the desired result, you may try using the search feature provided over our website: https://www.grapecity.com/en/search
