  in version 4.0.20173.282 the flexchart linemarker X and Y properties are read/write.
  
  the documentation http://helpcentral.componentone.com/nethelp/flexchartwin/C1.Win.FlexChart.4~C1.Win.Chart.Interaction.LineMarker~X.html indicates they are read write too
  
  .
  
  However in 4.0.20182.314 they are read only

  is there a workaround for setting the x and y properties?

  Hi Richard,

  Starting with 2018v2, two new properties have been added to LineMarker - namely HorizontalPosition and VerticalPosition. These properties can be used for setting the initial position of the marker relative to the plot area. The accepted range of values are [0,1]. For example, to position the marker at the center of the plot area, set the HorizontalPositon and VerticalPositon to 0.5 respectively:

  lineMarker.HorizontalPosition = 0.5;
  lineMarker.VerticalPosition = 0.5;
  

  In case you are looking to position the marker at any specific data coordinates you can refer to the attached sample for an example.
