I am specifically interested in understanding if there are any differences in how sorting is handled or implemented between TrueDBGrid 8.0.20251.709 and TrueDBGrid 4.0.20183.338. For example, do these versions handle case sensitivity, null values, or custom sort logic differently? Are there any changes or improvements in the sorting algorithms or user experience that I should be aware of when upgrading?

If possible, please provide links to official documentation or release notes addressing sort order changes between these versions. Thank you!

    Hello,

We rarely change how our controls work, so it’s very unlikely your app will break after you migrate. Because you’re moving from a quite old version, some changes might be there, but those changes probably won’t break your application.

Also, C1TrueDBGrid is no longer being actively developed since we’re focusing on FlexGrid, which makes major changes to C1TrueDBGrid even less likely.

The upgrade primarily benefits UI customization and modern .NET compatibility without altering core sorting mechanics.

To move to the latest version, we suggest you first update to .NET Framework 4.8, then upgrade to .NET 8.

Please upgrade your application and let us know if you run into any issues. If you do, share a stripped-down version of your project that reproduces the problem, dummy data, steps you take, and C1-specific code, along with a comparison of the new and old behavior, and include screenshots or videos to help us investigate further.
