I have another Flex Report issue. I have a report that contains sub reports. I need to have either the group header or the page header for the sub report appear at the top of each page flowing a page break within the sub report. Right now, all I get is the page header for the main report whatever is in the Page header for the sub report is ignored and whatever is in the group header only appears once for each grouping. This makes for a difficult to read report since the tables of information will have no headers on them after the first page. Any suggestions?

    Hi,

I would like you to know that Page Header and Page Footer sections in subreports are not rendered. Instead, the Page Header and Page Footer sections of the main report are used.

If you want your subreports to have sections that repeat across page breaks, add a group to the subreport and place the fields to be repeated in the group’s header section. Remember to set the Repeat property of the header section to true so it will repeat on every page break.

Please refer the following documentation link for more information on this property:

    http://help.grapecity.com/componentone/NetHelp/FlexReport/webframe.html#C1.Win.FlexReport.4~C1.Win.FlexReport.Section~Repeat.html

You can also refer the attached report demonstrating the repeated GroupHeaders in the subreport.

Let me know if you still face any issues.

    Thanks,

    Pragati

Thanks for your response. I tried that but it did not work. Please see the attached JPGs. In the first one, I printed my complete report with the sub report in question and I did not get the headers after the page break. When I printed the sub report on it’s own, the second image, I got the headers after the page break. Any idea what might be going on?

I should note that my sub report is located in the Report Footer section of the main report. Not sure if that makes any difference - I would not think it should.

    Hello Mike,

Thanks for sharing your report but I could not preview it because of the absence of the related data.

However, I could replicate the issue at my end as well. I have escalated it to the developers (ID: 252281) and will let you know once there is any information from them.

    Best Regards,

    Esha

    Hello Mike,

The issue is fixed with the latest release version. GroupHeader of subreport now renders on all pages in the main report when its Repeat property is set to true.

You can either update using C1Live or manually download the assemblies from here: http://prerelease.componentone.com/dotnet40/c1winforms/2019-t1/C1WinForms.4_4.0.20191.359.zip

    Regards.
