    Hello,

I have many Visual-Studio 2015 projects (VB) in which I use ComponentOne Studio for WinForms (4.5.2 and also still 4.0) in version 20221.548.

Now I could update to version 20222.566 (see attached screenshot).

How can I make sure that existing projects are updated to the current ComponentOne Studio for WinForms 20222.566 or is there a tool to update projects to the new ComponentOne Studio for WinForms versions?

    Best regards

    Stephan

Just use NuGet (I suppose u’r using VS 2022) and your (licensed) components will resurrect!

At least some editing et voilà !

I also suggest .net Framework 4.8 if applicable.

    Hello Stephan,

In order to update your project with the latest version, please follow the below-given steps:

→ Update the builds to the latest version on your machine.

→ Open your project in VS and set the specific version of your C1 dlls to false.

→ Close the project and delete the bin/debug folders.

→ Reopen the project in the VS. It will refer to the latest builds installed.

→ Open the Licenses.licx file and remove the version, culture, and PublickeyToken from the entries. You can also use the GrapeCity utility from the Tools menu.

GrapeCity->Update Project → Add Missing Entries to Licenses.licx file.

You can also use NuGet to update your project to the latest version but please make sure to update the license file.

@Fabio, thanks for your valuable comments.

    Regards,

    Prabhat Sharma.
