  Hi C1,

  when updating to the newest version, I had the impression that the checkbox “.NET 6 & .NET 8 Controls” was not migrated properly from my previous installation. It was unchecked, though I had installed the former “.NET 6” controls.

  Could you check this with the guys that are reponsible for the installer? A fix might help others that upgrade.

  Hello Wolfgang,

  Thank for pointing this out and we understand your thoughts.
  
  In WinForms the latest .NET 8 Builds can be used in .NET 6 and .NET 8 both kind of application and it is introduced in this release only (it is not there in the previous installation) so this checkbox is unchecked.

  Hi Prabhat,

  as I had previously checked the “.NET6” checkbox, I would expect that the new “.NET6 and .NET8” checkbox is defaulted with the old value. This could cause confusion for others.

  If this was intended behavior, you can close this issue. It if slipped through when renaming the checkbox, it could be worth a check
