Hello.
It gets 5 minutes to open VBScript editor at my environment.
Is it abnormal? or Are there any way to speed up?
Thanks in advance.
Best regard.
Naoki.

Hi,
What’s the ComponentOne version installed in your machine?
Also, please share your environment details as opening VBScript Editor generally takes only a few seconds to open. At my end (Win10 version 1803) it took around ~2-3 sec to open up.
Thanks,
Ruchir

Hi, Ruchir.
Wow good to know that!
We team members would yelled if it cleared!
Our environment is,
ComponentOne 4.0.20172.271
on VisualStudio Pro 2017 version 15.7.4
on Windows7 Pro SP1 64bit (4G RAM)
on VMWare Workstation 14 Player
on Windows10 Pro
on ThinkPad E570 Corei5-7200U 2.5GHz + 8G RAM
Best regards.

For me, it is as fix as for Ruchir - even in version 2.0172.271.
Does it happen for all kind of scripts or only for a single script? 32 or 64 bit version of the designer? Does it happen also when opening the file “FlexCommonTasks.flxr” in “%USERPROFILE%\Documents\ComponentOne Samples\WinForms\C1FlexReport\CS\FlexCommonTasks”?
Best regards

Hello,
Using your environment too the issue does not occur for us.
In addition to the questions by Wolfgang, can you please check if the VbScriptEditor degrades for the reports shipped along with the product samples? Or it specific to some of your reports? If yes, then we need you to share the report with us in order for us to investigate this further.

Hi,
I’m getting understand that it occuers only in my project,
It was OK when I open the sample project,
and my project is… I’m now converting an Access system into VB.NET and it’s with so many report formats and many items in each report.
If there is a optimization way or defragging way, I’d be happy.
Best regards.

Hello,
Sorry, but there is no such way(exposed) to reduce the time VBScriptEditor takes to open.
However, if you can share your report then we can discuss this with the developer and investigate if there is anything that can be done to resolve the issue for you.
If you’re not comfortable sharing the report in public then you can create a ticket at
SupportOne(https://supportone.componentone.com/login).
Best wishes,
Ruchir
