    Hello C1 Gurus!

I downloaded the Free Trial cause i wanted to have a look at the components of C1, in case we can use it in our company.

A very important thing is the PDF component: We want to load an existing PDF File, add some Text and Images to it, and then save it.

Now i tried that with the Trial version, but i don´t have a clou nor have i found something how i can load an existing PDF file into the C1PdfDocument object.

Can anyone provide me an example?

    Thanks very much

    Greetings

    Tom

    Hi Tom,

Thanks so much for showing interest in ComponentOne controls.

Please note that C1PDF is used to create PDF documents from your applications. It doesn’t allow to load existing PDF documents.

You can refer to the following documentation link of C1PDF which clearly explains various use-cases and scenarios related with C1PDF:

Please refer to following links which also explain creating & saving a PDF document, adding text to PDF document and adding images to PDF document respectively:

    Hi Shubham!

Thank you for your answer. So there is no way to load a PDF file with C1PDF?

So that´s sadly a KO for us. Is it planned that this feature will be available in a future version of your components?

    Greetings

    Tom

    Hi Tom,

As mentioned earlier,C1PDF is used to create new PDF documents from your applications. It provides various functionalities like adding images/texts/graphics, creating bookmarks/annotations, Pdf security etc. However, It doesn’t allow to load existing PDF documents.

We are sorry to mention but we don’t have any plan to add any such feature as of now.

    Hope it clarifies,

    Thanks,
