  hello
  
  I am new to C1 and I am facing an issue in exporting to Excel I have followed the examples in the documents however every time I run my application and try to run the code I get a exception “Invalid parent style (null or different context)” and that is it nothing else. I am at the latest VS and C1 using .net 4.5 can you help me please.

  Could you please let us know which C1 control are you facing this issue with and if possible, can you please provide a small sample replicating the issue?

  I have the same error when exporting from webform/flexgrid saveAs excel. The form would have multiple grids and it looks like the issue with the the CellStyle(?).

  I can’t pinpoint for sure the exact issue but the error that comes back is “Invalid parent style (null or different context)”.

  Hi Vito,

  The “Invalid parent style (null or different context)” error usually occurs when you have used CellStyle of one FlexGrid in another FlexGrid. Please make sure you are not doing the same in your application.
