    Hello,

My company has project on Visual Studio 2010 .Net Framework 3.5 SP1 which using C1FlexGrid version 2.6.20103.577.

My question is: Can we migrate/upgrade project to Visual Studio 2019 .Net Framework 4.8 with your new “Flexgrid” ? Or this is 2 different products and everything needs to be created from scratch ?

    Hello Julius,

The control is same. Upon upgrading from FlexGrid 2010v3 to the latest version, you would not have to re-develop from scratch. But since the control has received numerous enhancements (like UI automation support, search panel, advanced filtering, performance improvements, sparklines etc) in this time span there are many properties/method/events that you would find new and also there are few members that have become obsolete, so you might need to make some few small changes.

    Version History: https://www.grapecity.com/componentone/docs/win/online-releasehistory/releasehistory.html

    FlexGrid for Winforms: https://www.grapecity.com/componentone/docs/win/online-flexgrid/keyfeatures.html

Also, as you might know, starting from 2014v3 ComponentOne merged all of its WinForms control/products into a single package ‘ComponentOne for WinForms edition’. Thatis, now there are no licenses for individual controls but for an edition as a whole and upon purchasing license for WinForms edition, you will receive access to all controls mentioned here: https://www.grapecity.com/componentone/winforms-ui-controls

Moreover, if you work/plan to work on multiple platforms like WPF, MVC, Blazor, UWP, WebApi etc you may like to explore our other packages as well. You can find the packages along with their details here: https://www.grapecity.com/pricing/componentone

Should there be anything else you would like to know, feel free to contact.

    Thanks,

    Hello,

There was some issue with the links which has been fixed. So, the links are now up and running, you’re requested re-try.

*If you ever run into problem with these links or want to access them offline, use the following location to access the control history: C:\Program Files (x86)\ComponentOne\WinForms Edition\OldReadmes

    Best regards,

    Ruchir
