I have been a few versions behind and I recently bought the ComponentOne package, particularly using WinForms. I had removed the previous edition before installing my new edition. I then went into one of my VS applications only to find I need to get the components updated and I’m not sure how to do this. I changed the references in the assemblies but I still cannot get my form to render. Any tips?

    Hi Toby,

To upgrade your project dlls to the latest version please follow the below-given steps:

1: Delete the old references and add the latest version dlls. The latest version dlls can be found on the given location in your system: C:\Program Files (x86)\ComponentOne\WinForms Edition\bin

2: Update the entries of your Licenses.licx file using LicxGenerator tool as suggested in the below-given link:

3: Rebuild your project and let us know if the issue still exists and also share the screenshot of the error that you are getting so that we can assist you better.

    Regards,

    Prabhat Sharma.
